Amidst the tornado which is me current life I think I have found time to do another post!
Well, the hoiday rush has officially begun! Our sales #'s are up 35% and we have just put out our new promotions. Leather and suede is now 50% off until after Thanksgiving weekend. Most of our sweaters are now at 30% off. And we have our "Associate Appreciation" week now which is an wonderful thing since Ben needs a new suit and other stuff.
Work is starting to turn around. We have a bunch of things to change from our last audit. Our 4th quarter starts on Monday which means we are up for another "Secret Shop." We have almost a whole new staff of associates, which could make it interesting, but we'll pull out a good score! I have hired 3 new managers and will be starting their trainings within the next few weeks.
Ben surprised me and came home at 6:30am on Sunday morning. We hadn't seen each other for two weeks. We went to Louisiana to be there for Ben's dad. I had to fly home on Monday to get back to work, and Ben was able to stay for a while and help his brother do some jobs that needed to get done. They work really well together so that was good. Ben had told me they were working all through the night to get something done so they wouldn't have to work on Sunday. Little did Iknow that he was going to come into the bedroom at 6:30 am and jump on me. I must have heard him because I opened my eyes right as he was walking in the doorway into the bedroom. I gasped and then realized who it was as he jumped on me and hugged me. I missed him so much! Having him gone for so long made me really understand how much I rely on him. He is my sounding board and my strength. I missed his presence and his voice. I missed his pinching (but don't tell him!). I love my husband more than I could ever express. I need to make sure that I always take him for what he is-my loving, eternal companion! I am so in love, even after 2 1/2 years! I love our relationship and the way we can't be upset with eachother, with the way we can communicate so well, the way that we show our love. I am so grateful for out love and our relationship! Thank you my love, for your love and support. You are my strength and my hope for a new tomorrow.
I know I didn't let you in on everything, but this is about all the time I have.

Shekky,
I went shopping at Calvin Klein today in Camarillo. There are some things there I really like, but I felt insecure buying, especially for $40-$50. I thought of you, though, and I was not impressed with the employees there. One thing that is the biggest turn off to me is when I go into a retail store and hear the employees talking to each other about how much they hate their job, etc... I just think that's tacky. I can't believe I went to the outlets on a Saturday afternoon, though. What was I thinking. If I were you, I would hate folding laundry because of all the folding you have to do all day, though maybe with your new position, you don't have to do that so much? Thinking of you and appreciating your work.
Love ya tons,
Kirsten
Shekendra, oh, I'm sorry, I mean Shakirra! ;-) Hey, long time no talk. I found your blog through Kirsten's, and I was happy to read about what's going on. We actually just moved to Texas, as well. We live up in the panhandle near OK, though, so we are quite a ways away from you. After reading your blog entries, I had to tease you about the name thing; that's crazy that you are in the same ward as them. I have some other friends in the Austin area, as well. I'll have to find out what ward they're in. Anyway, check out my blog familyintheclouds.blogspot.com. Sign my guestbook and make a comment. I'd love to hear from you. (By the way, that mosquito you saw may have actually been a mosquito eater. I know TX can have some big mosquitoes, and you are right that everything in TX is big; however, I know that there is a bug that looks like a really big mosquito that actually eats mosquitoes. Whether that was it, I don't know, but it may have been. Anyway, I hope to hear from you.
Love you,
Tami (Kelly) Gooch
P.S. You were a beautiful bride! I wish I could have been there. I can't believe you have been married for 2 1/2 years already. :-) Tami
Hey, Shakirra! I was excited to get your comment on my blog. May I add your blog to my list of Blogging Blamily and Bliends? What's your e-mail address? :-) Tami
