Disneyland!!

We went to Disneyland for Dylan (and daddy’s) first time! October 3rd with Ben’s parents while they were here for a short vacation. We were all surprised, but he actually really enjoyed it.

First Carousel Ride!!

 This is his first ride on a carousel. Mommy wanted to take him on the carousel ride at the Spectrum in Irvine.

  Little talented daredevil… Ok, I PROMISE the ride was over and wasn’t moving! AND he did have shoes on, but they kept falling off of his heels as he was walking. That was tripping him up, so we took them off and carried him.

First trip to the ZOO!!

We went to the LA Zoo with the little dude in his backpack. It was actually pretty hot that day, so we took some breaks in the shade for lunch, water, and walking to stretch his legs. Yes, I said walks! More to come on that soon.

The “Squish Face” or “Stinky Face.” We love it when he does this face! Makes me laugh every single time.

Then on the way home we stopped to eat dinner at Universal City Walk. Dylan got to see his first celebrity - Jay Leno in person! Pretty cool.

 

Chuck E. Cheese! 

Say Cheese! Where a kid (or adult) can be a kid! This one took his picture with Chuck E. himself.

We decided to take him there to try it out. He liked sitting in the rides, until they started moving. He wasn’t quite sure, but after a minute he would smile. Funny.

Can you tell daddy loved seeing the looks on D’s face? He loved it, maybe more than baby!

First friend birthday party

CARNIVAL!

First mini pony ride while at Cashton’s 1st birthday bash (which was incredibly planned and amazing)!First petting zoo experience at the afore mentioned birthday party. First time wearing a helmet. Again, at the birthday party. We had to sign a release to get him a real pony ride, so you know that was legit!

First time riding a real horse. Isn’t he so adorable in that helmet??

Yep, he held on to the horn most of the time. He loved it. He sat there and enjoyed the ride as we went round and round.

*He also had his first hot dog, first bite(s) of a piece of cake (let’s face it the boy loves food and sweets will not be left out), and first time when mommy let him get dirty walking around in the dirt without stopping him (mostly because it was a ranch and there was nothing but dirt…).

Daddy took most of the pictures at the birthday bash, so this is them together before we left. D-man LOVES to ride “up top” as dada calls it!
