*don't you like the devilish eyes Tobey and Gretta have in this photo?*
The computer is back, hopefully for good. Oh, and so is my husband!!! It is great to have him back in our home. It is amazing the feeling of being alone in you home, and how he can make it feel so much better! I am grateful he is home and that I am not alone any more.
Ok, back to business....
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
I have always liked this "holiday," but since 2000 when I had my last kiss from Ben before he was set apart to become an Elder for his mission I have only passed out candy. I haven't dressed up in a long time. I'm usually at work or something that prevents me from doing so (yes, Calvin Klein does not allow us to dress up). I'm not sure if we'll be home tonight because we have Ben's brother here for only a day or two more, but if we are I'll be handing out candy for the 3rd time in our house. In April we will have owned our home for 3 years. That is crazy.
On a more information related front there isn't much to report. Ben is home; he had been gone for almost a month. Now that I have time to see him I am noticing that his scars on his hands are really disappearing. Although the one on his ring finger is still pretty gnarly and his finger is really tight feeling. He is getting some more feeling back into that finger, so all the nerves and muscles are growing just fine. He can bend his fingers into a fist now and it is almost pain free.
I have just been working away! We did find out that (at work) our district is going to be split as of Nov.1. All the Calvin Klein's in Texas are going to become their own district. What does that mean? It just means that we get a new district manager (boo) and that we are compared to stores that are in more of our own area instead of New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Texas all being compared to one another. It also opens a new position in our district. It is called Training Store Manager. You are still a store manager and perform all those duties, but you are also in charge of all the training for all the stores and all the managers in the district. So anytime a new manager starts you are the one to make sure it is all happening, and that they are ready for their keys when the time comes, etc. So I am excited to see who they offer that to. Nothing else exciting is going on. We are starting to get ready for the Holidays, I have a meeting two days next week that I have to go to in San Marcos, TX for our new district. That should be fun. Oh, and the day before the meeting my Regional Manager (she is in charge of all the districts on the west half of the US), and my new District Manager will be visiting my store. That should be fun since I was on "vacation" this whole week and didn't find that out until Wednesday. Oh, well. All we can do is keep up what we are already doing.
Ok, this is turning into a rant about work, and I don't think that is fair.
I hope everyone is doing well. It looks that way from your blogs. I will try to put in some pictures soon! But for now just look at my cute babies in their costumes!
