It's true!!


Some guy on the beach offered to take this for us when he saw me taking the next one (which was actually the first one). That was nice of him. Since we were there alone we didn't have anyone else to take it for us.

Yes, it's true. We were in Camarillo during the 4th of July. We made a last minute decision on July 2nd to fly out the next day! That was super fun to be able to make that choice and just come out to visit. We got awesome cheap tickets on Southwest to Burbank. We totally surprised everyone! We didn't tell anyone, and we just showed up at my parents' front door. It was priceless! It turned out that my sister Stef and her family were there too. They had changed their plans for their vacation and came earlier than they originally were. So we were there at the same time! It was a cool cooincidence. I was happy to be at home with my family (most of them). Sorry Angie!

We came out with such short notice, or lack thereof, that we didn't even contact any of our friends! We both really regret not getting to see or talk to you guys! Please forgive us, and know that next time we come out we will make a much better attempt at getting in touch with you next time! Which should be much more often. Or at least a few more times a year. We want to come out more. We miss it there. So hopefully we will be able to swing it where we come out for at least two three-day weekends a year in addition to our normal visits.

We didn't really do a lot of things, which is exactly the opposite of the idea we had in our head for this trip! ha ha But, we had fun! It was great to be back in town and see all the familiar faces. We were able to go to the church breakfast at the stake center and see many people there. Then later that night we watched the fireworks with a bunch of people at Dave Maddux's tree nursery.

We got to have family dinner with, obviously, the fam. But, we had some visitors who are part of the fam. Brianna is my cousin and she and her new husband are staying in Studio City working for the summer. So they were able to come down to hang out too. Hopefully they will be able to make it a few more times while they stay. It was fun to see them and great to get to know Edgar more!

So the funny part of the trip was that when we decided to fly out Ben got on craigslist for VC and found a car he wanted to buy. You know my husband, always on the look out for a great deal! On our way from the airport to my parents' house we stopped in Old Town Camarillo and buy our new car. Then when we had to leave *sniff sniff* we DROVE home to Austin! That was a great adventure, long drive (21 hrs if you go straight thru), but fun to do with your hunny!! Love you babe!
